Case Study: Early Morning Delivery of Parts

Continental was contacted by a parts supplier that needed their merchandise distributed throughout a three State region to customers prior to 8am. The challenge was to incorporate the deliveries into our existing structure to keep the delivery cost down while guaranteeing that the 8am deadline was met. Overlaying the requirements of the customer onto our existing route structure using Route Optimization technology allowed us to identify the right routing solution which met the deadlines and allowed us to offer optimized pricing.

Case Study: U.S. Mail Pickup and Delivery (Cash Management)

Continental delivers mail early to a variety of clients, specifically insurance and credit card processing companies. These industries receive payments from customers and require a service to deliver their mail early in the morning so that their staff can process payments in a timely fashion. As we worked with the customer to identify their needs the delivery of the mail was only a portion of the true need. The next step was to deliver the bank deposit that the early am mail service generated, which allows the customer to earn interest on those payments. The final portion of the solution was to pickup their end of day postal mail and deliver it to the postoffice. This ensures that the mail gets to the postal facility in a timely manner and is delivered promptly to its destination.
